Clue - La Morte is my on-going digital art project, a final word on my life long passion for the mystery board game, Clue. In this expansive adaptation, the setting is Mexico, 1913 in the midst of the Mexican Revolution, the horrors of war are eluded within Dr. David Arturo Black's palatial, European styled estate, inspired by Castillo Chapultepec in Mexico City. All the classic elements of Clue are present, with familiar colourful characters, recreated in digital art, drawn by mouse. This project goes as far back as 2014 when I began working on ink illustrations, a dollhouse concept of the mansion, before I decided to take the project in the direction of digital painting. Above is a 60 room concept painted pixel by pixel, back when I was calling the project, The Murderer. Subsequently, is my gallery with my digital and handdrawn illustrations for this project. For the past 5 years, I've been showcasing progress on my Patreon, where you can follow the development of the card art. Special thanks to my friend and tattoo artist in Mexico City, Jhonovan Hernandez who contributed illustrations to the border design of each card and project logo.
